Teachers will learn how to support students in reading for understanding and using writing strategies with thinkSRSD’s Self-Regulated Strategy Development (SRSD) model. The writing strategies will include supports for how to pull apart model writing, inspire revision, use formative assessments, model think-alouds, teach goal setting, use flexible organizers, and develop self-regulation. Discover structured ways to enhance how you use data to guide your teaching of the writing process, by creating and organizing skill and strategy lessons, regularly collecting data on student writing to assess students’ writings frequently, and by co-setting effective goals with students to improve their writing skills.
